A photo book of your pet
There are probably more photos of them on your phone than of anyone else.

Scroll back through most camera rolls and the pet is everywhere: asleep in a patch of sun, waiting by the door, wandering into photos that were meant to be of someone else. Hundreds of them, and hardly any ever printed.
A book gathers the best of them in one place, and it's a lot easier to hand round than a phone.
Ideas
- Their first year. From the day they came home, small and slightly bewildered, to their first birthday.
- A year in the life. Walks, naps, the beach, the vet, Christmas morning.
- Two together. If they share a home, give them a book between them. Who's asleep on whom is half the fun.
- For someone who loves them too. The dog walker, the neighbour who feeds the cat, or grandparents who only see them now and then.
- In memory. Making a book of a pet who has died can be a comfort. The "In memory of a pet" template, among the templates on the home page, is a gentle place to start.
How to make one
- Pick your photos. Your camera roll is in date order already, which is the order the book wants. Somewhere between 40 and 80 fills the book well - how many photos you need has more on that.
- Add them. You can do the whole thing on your phone, where the photos already are.
- Let us lay out the pages. Auto-design works through the photos in date order and keeps each day together where it can. The My best friend template gives you a cover to start from.
- Swap anything you'd like different, put their name on the cover, and order.
Choosing the photos
- Keep the sharpest. Pets rarely sit still. Where you have several of the same moment, the sharpest one is the one to print.
- Include the people. A lap, a lead, a hand throwing a ball. Those are the photos that show whose pet it is.
- Give the best one a page to itself. A single photo across a spread makes the busier pages easier to enjoy.
