Baby's first year photo book
A year of photos, out of your phone and into one book.
You probably took more photos this year than in any year before it, and almost none of them have been printed. A first-year book is the one place they all end up together: the hospital, the first bath, the first proper smile, the first birthday cake.
How to make one
- Pick your photos. Your camera roll is in date order already, which is the order the book wants. Aim for somewhere between 40 and 80 - how many photos you need goes into why.
- Add them. You can do the whole thing on your phone, where the photos already are.
- Let us lay out the pages. Auto-design works through the photos in date order and keeps each day together where it can, so the book reads as the year went.
- Swap anything you'd like different, add a title to the cover, and order.
It takes about five minutes to add your photos and get a designed book. You can spend as long as you like after that.
Ideas for the pages
- One spread a month. Twelve months fits neatly in a 28-page book, with room for the birth at the front and the first birthday at the back.
- The same photo, every month. If you took a photo in the same chair or with the same toy each month, give those a page together. It's often the page people linger over.
- Leave a little space. A few pages with a single photo make the busier ones easier to enjoy.
The book
A 21×21cm stapled softback with 28 pages on 150gsm silk paper and a laminated cover. £10, including delivery anywhere in the UK, and most books arrive within a week.
