Terms
These are the terms you agree to when you use the editor and order a book from us. We have written them in plain English. Where UK law gives you rights that cannot be signed away, we have not tried to sign them away.
Who you are buying from
RGBloom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Company No. 17236942. Registered office: Unit 2 Hazlewell Court, Bar Road, Cambridge, CB23 8DS, UK. See Contact for ways to reach us.
What you are buying
A 21×21cm square photo book, saddle-stitched (stapled), with 28 inside pages on 150gsm silk paper. You design it in your browser using our editor; we send it to our printer in the UK, who prints it and posts it to you.
A book costs £10, including delivery within the UK. There is nothing else to pay.
Placing an order
When you place an order, you are offering to buy a book from us. The order is confirmed when we send you a confirmation (by email, if you provided one) and we begin preparing it for printing. From that point we have a contract.
If we cannot fulfil an order for any reason - a problem with the file, an issue at the printer, anything else - we will tell you and refund any payment we have taken.
Payment
Payment is taken at the point of ordering, handled by Stripe inside their own form. We never see your card details.
Delivery
Most books are delivered within a week. We post within the UK using a tracked service.
If a book does not arrive, write to us at hi at rgbloom dot com and we will sort it out. The book is at our risk in transit; if it is lost or damaged on the way to you, we replace or refund it.
Returns, refunds, and faulty books
See the Returns page for the full policy. The short version: 14 days from delivery to ask for a refund or a replacement, and we honour it whether or not strict consumer law requires us to. If a book is misprinted, damaged, or otherwise not what you ordered, we put it right at our cost.
Nothing on this page or the Returns page affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Books supplied to you must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described; if they are not, you have rights to a refund, repair, or replacement that we cannot exclude.
Your content and photos
The photos, words, and design choices in your book are yours. You keep all copyright in them. We do not claim any ownership of your content and we do not use it for anything other than printing your book.
You confirm that you have the right to use the photos and any other content you include - that they are your own work, or that you have permission from whoever does own them, or that the rights situation is otherwise sorted. This includes any people who appear in the photos: see the Privacy page for a note on that.
We do not check the content of your book before printing. If a printed book turns out to break someone else's rights - a copyrighted image used without permission, for example - that is something the customer is responsible for, not us.
Acceptable use
The editor is for personal, commercial, or gift use - anything where the book is something the customer wanted made. We will not knowingly print books containing illegal material, content that infringes someone else's rights, or material that could cause real-world harm. If we spot something in this category we will pause the order and contact you.
The editor itself
The editor software is ours. You can use it to design your own books, including for paid work if you want to charge people for designs you make. You cannot copy or repackage the editor itself as a product of your own.
What we can promise about the book
We promise that the book will be made to the specification described (a 21×21cm saddle-stitched (stapled) book, 28 inside pages on 150gsm silk paper) and will reflect the file you sent us. We promise we will replace or refund any book that arrives damaged, misprinted, or otherwise not what you ordered.
Printed colour reproduction is close but not identical to what you see on a screen. We work to keep the difference small. Material differences between your design and the printed book that go beyond ordinary print variation count as a fault, and we put them right.
Limits on what we are liable for
If something goes wrong and it is our fault, our liability is limited to refunding or replacing the book. We are not liable for anything indirect or consequential - loss of profits, lost time, hurt feelings about a missed deadline. We are liable for our own negligence in producing or delivering the book.
Nothing in this section limits liability for things that UK law does not allow to be limited - death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
If we have to end the contract
We can refuse or cancel an order before printing begins, and refund anything paid, if we reasonably believe the order breaks these terms. We will tell you why.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. Changes apply to orders placed after the change; they do not affect orders already in flight. If a change matters materially, we will note it at the top of this page.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by writing to us go to the courts of England and Wales.
