Christmas photo books: when to order

Order by Thursday 10 December for delivery before Christmas.

Why then

Most books arrive within a week of ordering: we print in the UK and post by Royal Mail. In December, the post gets slower as Christmas gets closer, and a week can become ten days or more. Ordering by the 10th leaves room for that.

You can still order after the 10th, and plenty of books will arrive in time. We just can't promise it.

If you're sending several

Order all the copies at once and split them into separate shipments, each to its own UK address. They're £10 each, including delivery, and none of them need to go through your hands, which saves a trip to a very busy post office.

Getting it done in time

The book itself takes about five minutes to put together, so the photos are the slow part. Two things help:

• Start with the year's camera roll. It's in date order already. Somewhere between 40 and 80 photos fills the book well; how many photos you need has more.
• Do it on your phone. You can make and order the whole book on your phone, on the sofa, in an evening.
