Why can't RGBloom find my trips?
In the RGBloom app, Find my photos for me (or, once a book has photos, Add more photos then Find more by date or trip) can offer your trips as books: "2 weeks of photos in Austria", say. It works them out on your phone from where each photo was taken, which your camera saves with the photo when it's allowed to. Nothing about where you've been is sent to us.
So if it finds no trips, the usual reason is that your photos don't have a location saved with them.
Let your camera save locations
On an iPhone: open Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services. Check Location Services is on, then tap Camera and choose While Using the App.
On Android: open your Camera app's settings and turn on the option to save the location. It's usually called Save location or Location tags, but the name and place vary from one phone maker to another.
This only helps photos you take from now on. Photos taken without a location don't gain one later.
Other reasons
- Photos from elsewhere. Screenshots, downloaded pictures and photos sent to you in messaging apps such as WhatsApp usually have no location, so they can't place a trip.
- Not long enough away. A trip is a couple of days or more away from where you usually are, or a busy day out with plenty of photos. Somewhere you go often counts as local, not as a trip.
- Further back than two years. Trips are looked for in the last two years.
- Limited access. If you let RGBloom see only some of your photos, it can only look at those.
You can still make a book from any trip: tap Find my photos for me and choose the dates you were away.
