Adding photos from Google Photos on an iPhone

This is for the RGBloom app on an iPhone. The app's Find my photos for me and Choose photos myself look in your iPhone's own Photos library. If you keep your photos in Google Photos instead, they won't be there, but there are two ways round it.

Share them from Google Photos

The quickest way, for up to 500 photos at a time.

  1. Open Google Photos and select your photos. Press and hold the first one, then tap the rest.
  2. Tap Share, then choose RGBloom from the list of apps. If you can't see it, look for an option such as More that shows all of them.
  3. Wait for the photos to copy. A small RGBloom window says "Adding 42 photos…" and then that they're ready. Tap Done.
  4. Open RGBloom. If you have no books on this phone yet, it starts a new one with your photos. If you do, it asks whether to start a new book or add them to one you've already made.

You can share more than once. Each lot is offered to you the next time you open the app.

Or save them to your iPhone first

  1. In Google Photos, select your photos and choose Save to device. Copies go into your iPhone's Photos app.
  2. In RGBloom, tap Find my photos for me and choose the dates, or tap Choose photos myself to pick them in your iPhone's photo picker. If your book already has photos, tap Add more photos on "Your photos" for the same two choices.

The copies stay in your iPhone's Photos app afterwards, so they take up some of its storage.
